Mark is a former police detective who has far-reaching experience of working at the centre of high profile investigations.

During Mark's police service, he specialised in child protection and major crime and he is renowned throughout the UK's police forces as well as the national media for his expertise in these areas.

Mark is currently making 2 different one hour documentary programmes for ITV1.

Mark Williams-Thomas presents an investigation into allegations that the TV icon Jimmy Savile sexually abused vulnerable teenage girls.

This was first broadcast on the 3rd October 2012 on ITV1 and has resulted in a criminal investigation being launched and over 589 people making allegations of abuse - with 450 of those being directly related to Saville.
